Tami’s work reflects more than fifteen years’ experience in jewelry design and fabrication. She is influenced by design traditions of faraway cultures she’s studied and visited. She also finds delight in the works of Modern 20th Century Western Artists.

Tami Dean’s jewelry is primarily fabricated using gold and silver sheet and wire, and is characterized by strategic simplicity of design. “My aesthetic is best expressed by the crispness achieved when working with raw milled materials.” Fundamentally, Tami’s work reveals a commitment to uncompromising integrity.

Tami's style is perhaps best characterized by her stunning hand-piercing. With only a simple jeweler's sawframe and blades, she is able to create calligraphic lines that tell eloquent visual stories.
